The expertly guided tour takes visitors through the adit and longwall to the mine where they can see lots of mining machines, equipment and transport techniques in action, with experienced staff demonstrating the machine technology of coal mining in the Saarland region. Among the highlights is a conveyor belt, which is approved for belt rope rides and on which visitors may ride under supervision.
Guided tours without prior booking are offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm. The guided tour with two guides lasts about 1.5 hours. We recommend a face mask.
Guided tours for groups can be booked flexibly on request, including in French, English and Italian.
School classes and youth groups (maximum of 15 people): EUR 95
Groups of up to 15 people: EUR 150
Please remember to wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing. Temperatures in the mine are between 12 and 14 degree celcius.
