Apache Eiffel Tower
One of the landmarks in the border triangle is the replica of the Eiffel Tower in Apach at the border crossing to Perl. The little sister of the Paris original exudes French charm.
A touch of Paris
The Eiffel Tower is famously located in Paris, but its little brother beautifies the borderless border triangle. A surprise awaits every visitor at the border between Germany and France: the Apache Eiffel Tower welcomes everyone. The tower, which is 9 metres high without a base, was donated by a German entrepreneur and has stood on its site since 2009. In autumn 2011, a friendship tree was planted next to the tower and a seating area was installed.
The Apach Eiffel Tower is located on French territory right next to the border on the B419 between the villages of Maimühle and Apach, just 300 metres from the roundabout. The Apach Eiffel Tower is also within easy walking distance of Perl railway station, just follow the cycle signs for Apach and Sierck-les-Bains. The same applies to cyclists, as the tower is located directly on the Moselle cycle path. The seating area makes a good resting place.
