From the St. Maria church in the Blieskastel district of Alschbach, the route leads past the cemetery, then to the Lourdes grotto. Here you can take a short break and refresh yourself at the Florian fountain. The route now goes through Gut Lindenfels up to the Würzbacher Berg. Here the surroundings open up, and you enter a wide meadow landscape. The path leads along the ridge, with open fields, groves and orchards with wonderfully wide views of the surrounding area and Biesingen.

Along the route, the forest café Gut Lindenfels offers hikers in the Bliesgau biosphere reserve a magical resting place. In addition to small culinary delights and homemade cakes, you will also receive refreshing cold drinks or warming hot beverages.
Opening hours: March 1 – October 31, Saturdays from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sundays and public holidays (except Good Friday) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Wegbeschreibung
The Alschbach route starts at the St. Maria church in Blieskastel-Alschbach. From there, the route leads right into Langental street and after a few meters left into Friedhofstraße. Past the cemetery, then to the Marian grotto and further to Gut Lindenfels. Before that, the route leads on a narrow path through the Rhododendron Park, which is a unique experience during the blooming season.
Through Gut Lindenfels with farm shop, the path gently ascends to the Würzbacher Berg.
Located on the mountain, you will find two benches along the hiking trail that invite you to linger while enjoying a wonderful view of Biesingen. Continuing along the ridge, you will later encounter two more benches with a cross. At this point, the hiking trail leads left through the Elbestertal and Langental back to the starting point in Alschbach.

Due to seasonal or weather conditions, increased surefootedness is required on some path sections.
Please wear clothing and hiking boots suitable for the season and weather with appropriate soles.

Careful walking on the built stairs in the forest (they may be slippery due to leaf fall).
