Wandern rund um den Losheimer Stausee

Mit ihren zahlreichen Traumschleifen und Traumschleifchen bildet die Gemeinde Losheim am See die Wanderhochburg im Saarland. In kaum einer anderen Wanderregion gibt es ein so dichtes Netz an Spitzenwegen.

Natur erleben und Landschaften genießen auf Deutschlands besten Wanderwegen, in Losheim ist das schon lange kein Geheimtipp mehr. Zu den Höhepunkten gehören der „Felsenweg“, Deutschlands Wanderweg des Jahres 2005 und 2015, und der Schluchtenpfad, 2006 zu Deutschlands schönstem Wanderweg gekürt. Auch der „Oppig-Grät-Weg“, der „Lücknerweg“, der „Bergener“, die „Stausee-Tafeltour“, der „Steinhauerweg“, und der „Waldsaumweg“ liegen weit über dem Durchschnitt der bisher in Deutschland zertifizierten Wege.

This is an easy route round Losheim lake and suitable for families. There are many options for taking a rest along the way as well as a Kneipp therapeutic wading pool with a barefoot path. Either when setting off or when finishing the loop, round off you ramble with a visit to the “Lake Garden“.

Traumschleifchen Sonnenrunde

Traumschleifchen sind Premium-Spazier-Wanderwege, Rundwege mit kurzen Distanzen und wenig Höhenmetern.

Der 4,5 km lange Weg führt bei nur minimalen Steigungen von der Tourist-Info am Stausee durch eine sanfte Hügellandschaft. Der größte Teil führt durch offene Wiesenlandschaften mit schönen Aussichten. Deshalb wurde der Weg „Sonnenrunde“ genannt.

`Stausee Tafeltour´

The lake landscape and panoramic views make this a very diverting walk. The trail features narrow forest and meadow paths and enormous fields as well as enchanted creek valleys along the way. Losheim reservoir and all the recreational options on offer here are a disctinct highlight.

Gorge Path

Walking on winding paths, the Gorge Path takes hikers through a number of gorges, over beautiful sunken roads and through enchanting forests covered in liana vines. Walking on “Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail 2006“ is a real adventure for discerning hikers.

This romantic trail offers varied landscapes, with orchard meadows, beautiful panoramic views, infinite calm and a very special experience of nature while hiking on the narrow trails of the Oppig-Grät gorge.

‘Kleiner Lückner´

This is a short, largely flat and varied tour, suitable for untrained hikers. Highlights include a path taking you along the Losheim creek and the mysterious Rammenfels rock. Most of the trail is in the forest but includes nice views, too.

‘Der Bergener‘ is a varied trail full of idyllic moments. It will take hikers to a number of atmospheric places, forest formations and open landscapes and doesn’t include any strenuous ascents. Ideal for beginners, leisure hikers and families with children.

Rock Trail

On this trail, you will find yourself moving closer to nature.

If you are looking for imposing rock formations, always wanted to know what walking on a bare foot path feels like or crossing creeks on treadstones, look no further. Apart from that, a Celtic sanctuary here or Roman castle there add some cultural elements, too.

Profile: several ascents and descents, suitable for hikers of average fitness. Please use appropriate shoes (need to be slip resistant).
