The „Schlossberghöhlen“ in Homburg are located below the ruins of the Hohenburg Castle and are Europe’s largest man-made mottled sandstone caves.
Over twelve floors of mysterious corridors lead to impressive domed halls. Be seduced by the yellow and reddish colourings around you. Part of the 10th floor is open for visitors. Guided visits are possible each full hour (times may change, last guided tour one hour before closing, reservation by phone in advance is advisable).
