Almost 500 animals from more than 100 species are able to be seen live on 15 hectares of land including a small group of Asian elephants in the elephant temple, a group of hamadryas baboons, giraffes and zebras from African savannah, Snow leopard canyon, Dhole forest, kangaroos and emus in Australian grass field, orangutans and reptiles in the primate house, meerkats in their savannah, European minks and racoons in their swamps, seals, plenty of endangered and rare domestic animals and many other indigenous and exotic animals.
A great event awaits you at the zoo’s falconry. You will be able to witness eagles, falcons and owls fly freely during the flight demonstration, which is held twice a day. Close to the Zoo-Kiosk there is a large playground and a petting zoo with rabbits, pot-bellied pigs and pygmy goats. Comfortable spots for picnics can be found throughout the zoo.
The Storchenlaedchen and the falconry tavern provide refreshment to visitors. The BBQ area may be rented.
The Restaurant am Zoo serves various meals too. Neunkircher Zoo opens year-round and has many special offers, such as events, coupons, guided tours and children’s birthday party.
