Rose Garden Zweibrücken
Transforming Zweibrücken into a ‘city of roses’, the European rose garden is the landmark and tourism highlight of this mediumsized
Palatinate town. It was Princess Hildegard of Bavaria who honoured the town over 100 years ago by opening the Zweibrücken Rose Garden. Originally designed as a classic rosarium, the third largest rose garden in Germany has much more to offer today than
‘merely’ roses. Spread over an area of 5 ha, the garden has evolved into a culture park. Located in the centre of the town, it offers a varied programme in a setting in which over 45,000 roses of over 1,500 types bloom harmoniously alongside a multitude of perennials, rhododendrons, shrubs and trees.
