The rose garden is host to a wide range of species including the roses named after German rose villages and cities. Plants which play an important role in conventional medicine are grown in the medicinal plant garden. A variety of herbs, tea and spice plants, as well as vegetables, fruit and grain can be found in the cottage garden. A new attraction in the gardens is the Asian garden area, which includes a Zen and gravel garden, pond garden, landscape garden and bamboo grove. All these features are complemented by the recreational grounds and playground accessible to persons with disabilities, the cornfield maze, and Landhotel Finkenrech with its culinary specialities. Amongst the many events held there, the farmers’ markets in April and September are very popular.
