Abbey Park of the former Benedictine Monastery

Located on the banks of the River Saar, the former Benedictine Abbey today houses the corporate headquarters of Villeroy & Boch and its associated Ceramics Discovery Centre. Adjoining the Abbey is a small park which was designed for
Eugen von Boch following the example of English gardens. Here you‘ll find more than 30 species of tree, with representatives from every continent. A further attraction is the world‘s largest ceramic puzzle. You can also visit the Old Tower – the oldest
preserved sacred building in Saarland – which was built around 990 as a funerary chapel for Saint Luitwinus.
