“Lyoner“ sausage

The secret of this delicate boiled sausage which allegedly originated in Lyon (hence, the name) are the specific herbs used and the special method of curing it. It is mostly used for cold cuts and eaten with bread or served grilled or fried. No matter if cold or hot, the “Lyoner“ is part and parcel of cooking in the Saarland.
