Our “Discover the Hunsrück Steig“ package is a great way to get a first impression of the long-distance trail that was opened in 2007.
Your hotelier will take you to the first top sight on the way and at the same time starting point of your tour – the “Cloef” viewpoint with its terrific view over the Saar Bow. From here, the trail meanders along and up to the “Schwarzwälder Hochwald“ (Black Forest high forest area) where the ground is densely covered in fern.
During your next day on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig you will experience a particularly beautiful part of the trail with giant trees and rocks lining the path like impressive natural monuments. The trip will end in the climatic spa of Weiskirchen.
Tour description
Day 1: Arrival
Day 2: Transfer to viewpoint “Cloef“ and hike from Orscholz to Britten (approx. 11.2 miles/18 km)
Day: 3 Hike to Weiskirchen (approx. 22 km / 26 km)
Day 4: Relax in Weiskirchen and departure
