Saar cycling route

This is a route suitable for families. In completely flat terrain, it leads along the bank of the Saar from Saarguemines in France up to Konz where Saar and Moselle meet.

Sights that we particularly recommend along the Saar cycling route are Saarbrücken with its Baroque buildings, the UNESCO World Heritage site “Völklinger Hütte“ (former ironworks), the fortress town of Saarlouis, the town of Merzig with its wolf park, the Saar Bow, ceramics manufacturer and design heaven Villeroy & Boch and the picturesque town of Saarburg.
