Saar- Bostal Lake cycling route

This cycling route combines a valley route in the first and a very interesting altitude route in the second part, taking you from the Saar valley up to the “Bostalsee“ lake.

Lakes and mountains

Starting out from the town of Rehlingen-Siersburg, you will cycle through idyllic villages where small chapels and churches await your visit. From the “Schaumberg“ mountain, you can enjoy breathtaking views on the surrounding scenery. Via the villages of Theley and Tholey you will reach the estate of Imsbach, a place of calm and relaxation. The following north loop of the route will take you to the three lakes, “Bostalsee”, the artifical lake “Losheim“ and the “Primstalsperre“ dam.

Length: 60 km

Character: easy and some slightly more difficult parts

Starting and ending the tour is possible at different points on the way
