The cross-border “Roman Road“ links more than 120 sights in the Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate and Luxembourg.

Explore reconstructed villas, temples or mystic grave monuments on the way and learn about the different aspects of Roman and Celtic life in the Saarland and neighbouring regions.

The route

More than 120 antique sights along the Moselle and Saar, in the Hunsrück and Eifel mountains, the Saarland and Luxembourg are testament to the Gallo-Roman era north of the Alps.The “Roman Road“ will exploring them make easy for you.

Roman and Celtic remains in the region

Works of art, ritual objects and objects of everyday life will take you back in time. You can view them not only in museums but also in splendidly reconstructed Roman villas and manor houses. Visit burial sites or see Roman wine presses.
