The course was built on the typical sandstone of the Vosges mountains of this area in 1988 and is close to the historical fortress of Bitche. It is located just outside town and in the nature park of the northern part of the Vosges which was declared a UNESCO biosphere. Golfing is possible virtually throughout the year.
