The Bostalsee in the Saar-Hunsrück nature park is a very popular place for fishing.
Why
Because of the water quality and the choice of fish to be found in this lake.
What
Lake, brown or rainbow trout, arctic char, pikeperche, pickerel, eel, carp, tench, roach, catfish, berch or burbot can be found here.
Where
Special areas around the lake are exclusively assigned for fishing which is possible from differenty shore zones and from pedal or rowing boats on the lake.
When
The fishing season lasts from 1 February to 15 December.
How
In order to purchase a fishing permit an official fishing license is necessary. The latter are handed out at by the lake administration and on the camping ground.
